If it's the scene from Deathly Hallows, shouldn't it be Minerva attacking and Severus defending? Although in the book (not the film) Sev does strike back. I don't think he could safely get away with pure defense against Minerva any more than she could against him. They're both too damn good.

Did Minnie loot those curly-toes shoes from the wardrobe of the late Albus Dumbledore? Maybe that's why she's standing still: if she tried to move quickly, she'd fall down.

Never mind me! I love Minnie, but I'm a Sev-fangirl through and through. ;)

This is beautiful, so full of action and I love the color contrast. The quick movement of Snape and McGonagall's lack of need for movement to fend him off is awesome.

I posted earlier in the thread, but I think it might get lost in the comments from years ago - the movement and inkwork, mixed with the color is a very compelling style. I quite like it! Very dynamic with a great sense of movement and drama. The art is wonderful.

My only negative comment is that you have the roles reversed in regards to the book. Snape never attacked - he only defended. And so Minerva should be the one doing the attacking.

the movement in this is incredible - I particularly like McGonagall's dress, and Snape's hair. And the light!! It really does the scene justice.

Holy dramatic action scene! I love the violent bold brush strokes and the harsh contrast between light and dark. Great contrast in their attitudes, too... Snape is "I'm going to KILL you, witch!" and McGonagall is "you're going to have to try a little harder, dear." =D

The movement and colours in this are extraordinary. There is a lot of power in this piece, and in the way you've rendered it. The fierce strokes in the background and whipped lines of the fabric sets the tone for battle!

Snape, just give up already, she's way too kick ass for you :)

I hardly noticed this scene in my first reading due to my excitment and dispair. I adored it during my second reading. This drawing is beautiful. It really captures the essence of the scene.

Thank you very much :)

I know what you mean, the whole final part of the book was a little overwhelming on the initial read. This scene almost got lost in the overall awesomeness that was the battle of Hogwarts *_*

You're welcome. :-)

The ending was overwhelming! It's funny for me some scenes are so beautiful when they are new like the entire scene that starts with the fawn patronus and ends with the destroyed locket. However, many really amazing scenes, like this one take a second reading for me to appreciate.

That's what we get for reading so fast! ;-)

I love what did with this! the way the colors contrast nicely from each other on each character as well as how the poses themselves contrast. I absolutely love the style you used.

Thanks! I'm glad that the poses and colours are contrasting well. The style is one that I've been experimenting with recently; it involves lots of loose, layered ink washes. I seem to enjoy working that way ^^

Sweeeeeeet. I was so excited seeing it in the small version, and it totally lived up that eager delight I sensed would be mine. It really is wonderful. Sucks me right into it, I get this energy. It has a violence in it that catches me up and it is quite difficult to get.
